From the launch of FoodFair in 2013 to 2026: a decade of growth, innovation, and impact.

2013

Launch of Bourse aux dons in Belgium, the first version of what would become FoodFair, connecting surplus holders with charities.

2015

Belgian VAT exemption for food donations to recognised food banks and aid organisations removing a key barrier to giving.

2020

Potato surplus management operation with the Walloon Region. Demonstrating crisis response capability.

2020

COVID-19 emergency relief operations. Rapid coordination to redirect food surplus during lockdowns.

2021

FoodFair France, Netherlands, Luxemburg, Deutschland launched. Technical opening of the model to local markets.

2021

Belgium flood response. Emergency food redistribution to affected communities.

2025

Rebranding to FoodFair. Unifying local platforms under a single European identity.

2025

Participating to CIBUS EU Project with the City of Liege. Collaborative sustainable food solutions.

2026

FoodFair presents at ChangeNOW Paris alongside Microsoft, marking a new chapter of visibility.
