Roles & Responsibilities

Donor Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable food safety regulations and hold the appropriate registrations and authorizations from the competent authorities.

  • Ensure all donated food meets quality standards and is fit for human consumption.

  • Provide accurate descriptions of donated items including type, quantity, and expiry information.

  • Bear full responsibility for the quality and safety of food at the point of donation.

  • Maintain proper storage conditions until collection by the recipient organisation.

Recipient Responsibilities

  • Be an organization active in food aid and comply with all legal and health regulations

  • Use received items solely for poverty alleviation (food packages, meals, social groceries) or social integration.

  • Never use donated food for direct commercial purposes under any circumstances.

  • Comply with all food safety regulations in handling, storage, and redistribution of received products.

  • Accept full liability for received and redistributed products from the point of collection.
